Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Freight Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual with a proven track record in freight brokerage, exceptional sales skills, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service to our clients.


Sales and Revenue Generation:
Bring on a book of business and actively prospect new clients to generate revenue immediately.
Negotiate rates, secure contracts, and manage freight shipments to meet client needs and maximize profitability.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals through effective sales strategies and relationship building.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Assist the broker in overseeing and mentoring other freight agents, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and excellence among the freight agent team.
Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to success.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and industry partners to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Provide exceptional customer service, address client inquiries and concerns promptly, and resolve issues effectively.
Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures:
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations to ensure compliance and uphold company standards.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to sales activities, shipments, and client interactions.
Continuous Learning and Development:
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and best practices in freight brokerage.
Participate in ongoing training, e-learning programs, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Freight Broker Agent.
Proven track record of success in sales and revenue generation within the freight brokerage industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), preferably AscendTMS or similar platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Self-driven with a strong work ethic and a sense of urgency.
Availability 365/24/7 to assist to client’s transportation needs and start immediately.
